I miss my friend Phung’s smile, her enthusiastic, positive attitude toward life, and her sweet personality. She was initially diagnosed with breast cancer, but the deadly cells had spread to her brain and organs within just a short few years.
She was only 44 years old when she passed away. She left behind a loving husband and a sixteen year old son, her mom, her siblings and many many devastated friends who all loved her so much. My heart still aches when I think of her. That was the first painful impact cancer had on my life. It’s hard to believe it was seven years ago.
Just like me, I am sure you have friends, family or someone who are fighting for their lives against this deadly disease. We must race to find a cure. Now Barb, another wonderful woman and one of my good friends, is battling breast cancer. We are supporting her this year at the 23rd Annual Komen Philadelphia Race for the Cure. I hope you will consider a small donation to support the cause. Here is a link to her story. Please read it and share it with your friends and family.
If you’d like to support Team Barb’s BFF’s with a small donation, please do so through this link and click on the “Support Lea” tab. Help Team Barb BFF’s reach our goal of $10,000. Love and thanks for your support, every little bit helps! Together we can win this race for the cure.
Thanks to everyone, and God Bless!
